SUPERPOWER-LESS HERO

A hero doesn’t need super powers to save lives. A hero doesn’t need to be popular. A hero is someone who is there for you, no matter what will happen. And most of all, a hero is someone who is willing to sacrifice his/her life for you.

A super power-less hero, my father. My hero is “SUPERPOWER-LESS” but he is still the BEST hero. He may not be here with us, but he is willing to sacrifice his life so that we can live and support our needs.

We strive to live for months without him. I know his job is hard and you have to give up and sacrifice what you have, but my dad stays strong because God gave him this job for a purpose. It’s hard for me to live being distant from him, without a dad right next to me. I grew up with my mom, and it makes me feel incomplete without him by my side. But with all these, I thank God that He gives us few months to cherish every moment being with him.

I know I’m not a good daughter, but no matter what I am, he still makes me the best daughter for him. I may not obey or respect him sometimes, but he understands whatever my situation is. I may not say to him often but I love and miss him always. He might be distant from us but his love stays within us.

I thank God for giving me a father like him. We may not be close like best friends, but when I ask for something, he helps me and gives what I needed. I feel bad that sometimes I think of bad things about my dad especially when I’m mad or angry or he didn’t give what I want, but I regret that I thought of those things because he will never be like that. And as time passes by, I want to be with him for more days, and spend time with each other.

That is my dad, the BEST hero for me.

It doesn’t matter if you are like this or like that, the important is you are willing to give up what you have, you do it whole heartedly and do not doubt to do it. It’s not always about saving a person’s life, but it’s also helping him/her in times of problems. Even in simple things, anyone can be a hero.
